Herbert Street

Herbert Street Residential Care Service is an abstinence-based alcohol and drug rehabilitation programme established over 10 years ago. We offer a safe, supportive, accessible alcohol and drug-free environment, which can accommodate nine adults.
What we do
Herbert Street is a 3-to-6 month residential care programme for adults with a history of alcohol or drug use. We offer a safe and supportive
environment which includes:
- Weekly keyworking with qualified counsellors
- Individually-tailored care plans
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) treatment, embedded in an eclectic approach
- Comprehensive group-work programme
- Access to education, training and employment opportunities.
We also provide:
- 24 hour on-site cover, 7 days per week
- Fully accessible accommodation for anyone with mobility difficulties
- On site support with dual diagnosis or secondary illnesses, including access to specialists
- Weekly aftercare group
- Family therapy
- Alternative therapies
Who we help
We provide a service for adults aged 18-to-65 who have recently achieved abstinence and wish to remain so. This includes those with high care needs, mental health diagnoses, secondary illnesses or reduced mobility. Although we do not provide personal care, we will support imported care services as appropriate.
How we work
Our programme addresses all aspects of a persons recovery from addiction. This includes emotional, physical and spiritual issues. It also inludes legal, financial, future support systems, leisure and fun, education, training or a return to work and to safe accommodation.
