South East Housing Team
Foundation66's South East Housing Team provides supported housing for people in drug and alcohol recovery. The service is commissioned by Supporting People.
What we do
We offer accommodation to single homeless people with support needs. We have three different categories or services, first stage service includes a 13 bed hostel with high support, second stage shared houses with lower level support and self contained accommodation for people who are unable to give up drinking with medium level support.
Who we help
Single homeless people, aged between 18 and 65, alcohol misuse must be the primary support need
How we work
The majority or our services are abstinence based, this means that clients are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs, on or off the premises at any time. Support involves group work and individual key work with an assigned alcohol support worker. Support is given for housing needs, benefits and income maximization, support for cravings etc, skills for life including getting back into work and moving towards a state of independence. The wet scheme is a little different as people are permitted to drink so support is primarily based on minimizing harm and sustaining a tenancy.
