Service User Involvement

"Tell me and I'll forget, show me and I'll remember,  involve me and I'll understand"
Chinese Proverb

What is Service User Involvement?

It's about making sure that the people who use the services we provide have the opportunity to voice their opinion about the services they receive and the chance to make real, sustainable changes to these services.

Service User involvement contributes to the creation of services that help service users move towards greater independence. It can help you achieve a sense of responsibility and ownership; help you gain new skills and knowledge, and give you a sense of self-worth and confidence.

Involving Service Users in services, policies and process helps make Foundation66 the responsive and dynamic organisation that it is. It encourages us to look at the rationale behind the services we offer and makes sure that they continue to meet the diverse needs of our Service Users.
