To meet the professional development and training needs of both our workforce and our clients, Foundation66 has developed Horizon; a high-quality assessment and training centre. Our highly-qualified training team are specialists in the alcohol and drug sector, with over 60 years’ combined experience.
Over the past three years Foundation 66 has developed key partnerships and secured funding from the Learning Skills Council, the London Development Agency and Skills for Care, enabling us to deliver a wide range of innovative training packages developed to support the development of our staff and clients but also the needs of the wider workforce.

The Start Well Project
The Start Well Project, developed in consultation with our service users and funded by the LDA, offers a wide range of innovative, highly flexible education, training and employment opportunities for all our clients in structured treatment.The Apprentice Programme
The Apprentice Programme targets former substance misusers and ex offenders who want to become professional workers in the drug and alcohol field. This intensive 12 -18 month programme which includes over 500 hours of training and a work placement offers candidates the opportunity to gain the following qualifications; Skills for Life level 2, technical certificate level 3 and the NVQ in Health and Social Care level 3. Over 80% of our trainees have secured permanent employment on completion of the course.
