To meet the professional development and training needs of both our workforce and our clients, Foundation66 has developed Horizon; an approved high-quality assessment and training centre. Our highly-qualified training team are specialists in the alcohol and drug sector, with over 60 years' combined experience.
Horizon Training and Assessment
Centre - A City & Guilds and NCFE registered assessment centre delivering internal and external courses including:
- NVQ level 3 & 4 and Technical
Certificate in Health & Social Care
- CPD awards and certificates
- Business administration NVQ
- Peer Support and Mentoring
- Drug and alcohol awareness
Apprenticeship Scheme
Our Apprenticeship scheme trains adults to work within the Substance Misuse Sector. The 12 -18 month programme includes:
- Comprehensive training in alcoholand substance misuse.
- NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care with DANOS units.
- 9-month work placement
Start Well
- a life skills project for people with a history of alcohol or drug problems.
Courses include:
- Confidence & assertiveness
- Mentoring programme
- Skills for future employment
Workforce Development
A comprehensive in-house training service for our staff, offering a wide range of courses & qualifications including:
- Crack-cocaine awareness training
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy(CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- Protection of Vulnerable Adults
- Equality and Diversity Training
- NVQs in Health & Social Care)
